The Rhondda Jazz club has been going for many years and is run by one of South Wales biggest Jazz Stalwarts, Madge Simcox.

Tuesday nights are the home of the Preservation Jazz Society which has been putting on gigs in Cardiff for nearly 30 years.

Brecon Jazz has evolved and grown over the past three decades, and The George has always been a part of it. In most recent times hosting some of the best local Welsh Jazz performers as part of the ever growing ‘Fringe’ jazz festival that runs alongside the main festival.

We’ve recently featured at Arboreal in Cowbridge as part of Jazz Supper last month and again this past week as part of a Swing Christmas night.

It is always lively at the White Horse which features a fine selection of some great Ales … We love playing gigs over the Christmas period as it allows us to dust off some great swinging arrangements

It was out pleasure to be invited to perform 2 sets this past Saturday at the 2014 Cardiff Country Fair in the grounds of Cardiff Castle … Perhaps the best video clip came from the heckler in the audience.

Unfortunately, due to a catastrophic hard drive failure, the recording is lost. Yet, Jason has an even better idea. He says, Why not come down to our studio? We can set the band up in one of our rooms, and just do what you did at the Cafe Jazz. It’ll be the same, with no audience, better Mics, and an all around better sound.
